Eric's Surprise 60th Kilt Party!!!

On Saturday 8th July, we held a surprise party for Stuart's dad, Eric at our house. After many weeks of preparation between Stuart and his sisters (Tracy, Sheena & Georgina) a fabulous night came together without a hitch! Approximately 60 people dressed in their best Scottish kilts (or pieces of tartan material wrapped precariously around them!) to pay tribute to a wonderful father, mate and work collegue. We knew we'd done something good, when, after being ushered in the front door blind-folded, the door flew open, a Piper played, all his friends yelled "surprise", and tears fell from his eyes in pure disbelief! He knew something was "in the wind" but he had no idea it would be this!! The night was wonderful-plenty of food (kindly catered by Sheena's neighbours "Yarra Valley Catering"), loads of drink consumed, and many generous people donated to the "Get Eric to Broome" fund! At 2am in the morning, he sat in our family room, still shaking his head! And by late Sunday afternoon, tired and sore (from his dancing attempt!) he was still in shock that so many people turned up and his family had gone to such great effort for him. We hope you had a fabulous birthday Eric, it was our way of saying "Thank you" for all you do for us in so many ways! HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY!!!!
